Sacramento Proud

Sol Blume is coming and bringing Jhene Aiko, The Internet, Smino and more to Cesar Chavez Park

What’s your favorite season?

Many folks love winter, for its layered clothing and netflix-and-chill atmosphere. Even more love summer for it’s long nights and beach friendly temperatures. An equal case could be made for the beauty of fall, as the leaves change colors and litter the streets with a cornucopia of color.

Myself? I love Spring. The newness of the world awakening from a chilled slumber. It’s the freshness of the air. It’s the sparkle of the dew in the morning as it drips down the veins of the veritable plethora of flora as it reaches towards the sun. It is beauty. It is light. Oh…. and the best part:

It’s the start of MUTHAFKN festival season.

Yessssssssssssssss. Spring is the kickoff of the most wonderful time of year for all live-music lovers — Festival Season. Each year there are more and more festivals, local and beyond that spring forth into the musical landscape. This year is no different with Sacramento’s own, R&B/Neo-Soul centered festival Sol Blume.

“The next generation of music lovers want more than just music. They want a full on experience from start to finish. Which is what we are doing with Sol Blume. We wanted to bring together those buzzing R&B artists that our lineup features, while at the same time exposing people to all of the other great things that Sacramento has to offer. To experience the music while being surrounded by the unique shops, restaurants, and general culture of Downtown Sacramento — which makes Cesar Chavez Plaza a perfect setting.” — Justin Nordan, co-founder of Sol Blume.

In a little less than three months, Sacramento is kicking off Festival Season in a big way.

Jhene Aiko (hey bae)
The Internet (fuck yes)
Goldlink (my future ex baby daddy)
Sabrina Claudio (keep your eye on her, shes gonna hit huge)
Smino (my best friend is so stoked for this one)
Berhana (swoon)
Kalin White (new on my radar)
Arin Ray (newer on my radar)
Rexx Life Raj (on my radar BECAUSE of this festival — hella new radarness)

Like I said this shit is going to be mainey.

Make sure to get to Sol Blume starting January 31st and get your tickets before they are gone. This is going to be one of many amazing musical moments in Sacramento this year, and we are here for all of it.

A lot of times, we are here exclusively for it. Ya know, before other folks could even tell you about it.

Just saying. Don’t sleep on The Mashup and definitely do not sleep on Sol Blume.

We already know where I will be.

Backstage with The Stonerettes — giving you all the behind the scenes access.

Go tune in
