The Philharmonik album release show was full of homegrown talent at the Sol Collective Venue. Sunmonks and Jmsey opened up for The Philharmonik and they were incredible.

Sunmonks played for 30 minutes to get the crowd excited and moving. There was much love at Sol Collective and Sacramento was here to support. Off of 21st street and 1st Ave, Sol Collective is a community service venue for local musicians. Sacramento was very supportive of the low light settings was perfect for the music playing at Sol Collective. People were talking to each other and were friendly all around.

Jmsey also had a 30 minute set and performed some new songs. More and more fans came to Sol Collective as It came closer to The Philharmonik show. Many people at Sol Collective talked to each other and there was much love in the air.

The introduction for Philharmonik was very creative. The Chicago Bulls introduction Music played as musicians took the stage. Just like announcing an NBA starting lineup, Sol Collective announced the drummer, bassist, guitarist, and backup vocals. Philharmonik was the last musician to be announced and fans screamed in excitement.

When Philharmonik played his first funky tune, everyone started dancing and grooving. It felt like a 70’s boogie combined with today’s pop.

Throughout the show, Philharmonik gave shout outs to Sunmonks, Jmsey, and Sol Collective. Philharmonik opened up about depression and what he goes through. He asked the crowd of they had depression, and many courageous people raised their hands. Hobo Johnson also made a cameo in the middle of Philharmonik’s performance. They played Mama’s House and the crowd was singing along.

After 45 minutes of playing on the piano and singing, Philharmonik stood up and began to rap. The crowd rocked their heads to the rhythm and rapped along.
Philharmonik also talked about the support and love from Sacramento. Thanked everyone for coming out.

Philharmonik performed his hits from his self entitled album, released on March 1st. You can listen to his album on Spotify and Bandcamp. The future is bright for this young talented musician and themashup will continue to support him throughout his musical career.

What makes Philharmonik a unique artists is his versatility. He can sing, rap, play piano and his music has hip hop, R&b, and funk.
