Curren$y In Sacramento

Curren$y took the stage in Sacramento for the very 1st time this past Saturday at the Red Lion Hotel. He did a set that mixed old and new, ranging from “Spit vicious” from his Fly Society days to what he called his “MTV Jams party,” his slew of internet hits and MTV Jams favorites from his latest offering Pilot Talk. I enjoyed the performance, Curren$y was energetic (surprisingly) and somehow pulled his flow off live (just as surprising). Some (err.. a lot) of the crowd opted to not participate and just… stand there (a Sacramento staple.. smh), but Curren$y didn’t let that phase him. He even managed to shoutout T.G.O.D x JETS founder/blogger, and Sacramento native Smokeahontaz (she has some footage of the show as well on her site). Overall a very good performance by the New Orleans native, I look forward to him coming back.
